The broom has several distinctive details:

• Material: It is made from natural broomcorn, with sections dyed red, white (natural straw), and blue, creating bold vertical stripes throughout the broom.
• Handle: The handle is tightly wrapped with natural tan cord, giving it a rustic, traditional appearance. Decorative bands of woven red, white, and blue broomcorn accent the wrapped handle.
• Ornaments: Three small enamel American flag star charms are attached vertically down the center of the handle.
• Centerpiece: Hanging near the lower portion of the handle is a colorful bald eagle ornament with outstretched wings. The ornament displays “250” and “1776–2026,” celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States.
